Welcome to the Pluto 2 Workers' Hub

This website is run by a collective of concerned and committed workers on the Pluto 2 Project. With crews spread across different shifts, camps, and scopes of work, communication is often fractured. This site aims to bridge that gap — providing a central place for all workers to access updates, share feedback, and stand united.

We know Bechtel and Woodside will be watching — and they may even try to shut this down. But we believe information is power, and power is strength. We’ll do our best to keep this platform updated regularly, though delays may occur due to unreliable reception in camps and the demanding nature of the job.

The opportunity before us on Pluto 2 hasn’t been seen since Barrow Island, where the AMWU, CFMEU, and ETU led a worker-driven campaign to improve work-life balance, boost earning capacity, and lock in the best roster seen on the West Coast.

Some, like the AWU (now rebranded as the Offshore Alliance), claim they weren’t involved in Pluto 2 bargaining — but don’t be fooled. The AWU signed the agreement and was present at the bargaining table. Their track record over the last 20 years in the Pilbara speaks for itself: carving up agreements, pushing inferior rosters like 4-and-1, and signing off deals at projects like Wheatstone and Roy Hill that served their interests, not the workers’.

And it hasn’t stopped. More recently, the AWU has signed off on agreements for jobs they’ll never set foot on, including the Bechtel Solar Farm in Karratha and BHP’s Western Ridge Crusher project — all because they remain cosy with big business and the CCI, acting more like the bosses’ union than a workers’ union.

While they may rebrand, they haven’t changed — and after 3.5 years without setting foot on this project, they now ask for your trust. We say: stick with what you know.

This website will publish all correspondence sent to Woodside, Bechtel, and other unions. We’ll provide updates on the Enterprise Agreement, share survey results when available, and offer a platform for transparency and truth. We have nothing to hide — and everything to gain if we unite and fight.

AWU - The Bosses Union

Peter Dutton’s endorsement of the Australian Workers’ Union (AWU) raises serious questions about the union’s independence. When a union is backed by both the Liberal-National Party and business lobby groups like the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, whose interests is it really serving? Workers deserve strong, independent representation — not organisations that play both sides of the political and corporate aisle. Can you really trust a union that’s in everyone’s back pocket but yours?
